EXAMPLE OF SILVER AMALGAM FILLING
Pictures number one and two show a fairly extreme example of a broken down
teeth that have been
treated with root canals. They show two titanium pins embedded into the dentin of
each tooth,
as well as post-holes that go into the root canal area about two millimeters.

Pictures three and four show the completed silver amalgam fillings. Most silver fillings are not nearly this
complicated, but it shows what can be done in extreme cases. I generally recommend a crown be made
for this tooth at a later date.
